Saints› Dominic

Saint Dominic de Guzmán was a Spanish priest who founded the Order of Preachers (Dominicans) in 1216. Born in Castile around 1170, he devoted his life to preaching, teaching, and combating heresy through persuasion rather than force. He is traditionally credited with spreading devotion to the Rosary after receiving it from the Blessed Virgin Mary.
